If you have seen people on the lake or bay kayaking and having fun, and you may have thought it was hard to learn, or that kayaking is scary. If you have never gone for a paddle with a kayak, there is no way you could know the complete feeling of freedom and relaxation. To get started you do not need a bunch of expensive equipment. Kayaking is very easy to learn and anyone can safely have fun on the water. We are not talking about kayaks you have to crawl into and roll if you get into trouble, or have to have special skills to paddle. Those are special sea kayaks take years to learn. We are providing safe, stable, sit-on-top, Ocean tested kayaks that are easy for a beginner to manuver. Typically no one tips these kayaks over….they are very stable in almost any water condition.
What You will learn:
I will show you the difference between a sit-on-top kayak and a sit-inside kayak.
I will show you how to safely launch any kayak without flipping or getting wet or muddy at the launch area.
I will show you a simple exercise that will help you turn your kayak on a dime.
I will show you how to set out on a small journey and come back to the starting spot safely.
I will show you that kayaking is easy and safe, and can be enjoyed by almost anyone.
After the lesson you may go exploring on your own for as long as you wish. Spend the day.
I offer a beginner kayak lesson for anyone who wants a “one on one” instruction, until they are confident enough to go off on their own. The beginner lesson is $40. and after the lesson you may rent the kayak anytime you wish for $ 25.00 and keep all day if you would like. Please call 281-620-1312 to book a spot or to ask any questions. These lessons can be booked for anytime you have time.
